🎤 Dane rose to fame in the late 90s as part of UK R&B group Another Level, whose second single Freak Me went straight to number one. A former BRIT School student, he later teamed up with Truesteppers on Out of Your Mind, keeping his voice on UK radio into the 2000s.
📼 In Mixtape Memories, Dane works through the tracks that take him right back. Some go all the way to childhood, including the one song a self-confessed non-singer couldn't stop belting out as a kid.
Others lead to the voice he grew up wanting to have, and the karaoke pick he reaches for whenever someone hands him a mic.
🎧 Dane looks back on what that number one meant, and how UK R&B was still pushing its way onto daytime radio at the time.
