The X Factor is the 2000s reality show Brits would most like to see make a TV comeback, new research has revealed.
The iconic talent competition topped a recent poll conducted by online bingo provider Zingo Bingo asking viewers which iconic reality show from the decade they would most like to see return to screens.
Nearly three in 10 (30%) of those chose The X Factor, putting it comfortably ahead of other options voted for by TV fans.
It comes amid continued speculation over whether the talent show could eventually make a return, having last aired its main series in 2018.
The X Factor did also air a short-lived celebrity version in 2019, won by former TOWIE star Megan Mckenna, but has yet to return for a full series ever since.
And the data suggest there could still be a real appetite for the format, with The X Factor receiving almost twice as much support as its closest competitor.
Supernanny was the second most wanted comeback, securing 16% of the vote, while Wife Swap completed the top three on 11%.
Fashion makeover show What Not to Wear came in joint fourth with 8%, along with much-loved fly-on-the-wall series Airline (8%).
Meanwhile, The X Factor's former talent-show rival Pop Idol was backed by 7%, while Ladette to Lady (6%), Shipwrecked (5%), Fame Academy (5%) and Holiday Showdown (5%) completed the top 10.
