Four Moments From August

From the Friday crowd to the 8pm rush, here's what stood out!

Set The Rooms Alight

Disco Inferno Room of the Month Bannner

30.6% of August's qualifying bingo players stepped onto the dancefloor at Disco Inferno, making it the most-visited named bingo room at Zingo Bingo!

Last month's headliner, The Main Stage, was right behind on 29.1%, while Deal or No Deal welcomed 26.5%.

Turns out August was a disco month. Burn, baby, burn!

The Friday Feeling

Friday as the Busiest Bingo Day in August 2026

When we compare the average number of bingo players on each day of the week, Friday came out on top!

But here's the twist: the whole week was a close call. Friday was only around 16% busier than the quietest day, Tuesday, so whether you're a Monday dabber or a Sunday regular, you were in good company.

8pm Was Eyes Down O'Clock

8 PM as the peak bingo hour of August 2026

The busiest single hour of August was 20:00 GMT. 44% of the month's qualifying bingo players were in the rooms during that hour at least once.

The evening stretch from 17:00 to 22:00 was the busiest part of the day, with 34.7% of bingo activity. But the daytime crowd wasn't far behind: 31.4% of August's bingo activity happened between 11:00 and 16:00.

Lunch break bingo? We see you.

Half New Faces, Half Regulars

August was practically a perfect split. 48.8% of the month's qualifying bingo players had not previously recorded a real-money bingo stake with Zingo Bingo within the historical period covered by our data.

In Zingo language:

49% first-timers. 51% regulars. One big party!

Bonus Track: Bingo Players Kept on Wandering

The change of scenery is clearly a habit now. During August, 69.4% of qualifying bingo players also played slots, nudging up from 68.7% in July.

The Rewind Chart: August vs July

Think of July as Side A of the cassette. Here's how Side B turned out.

New entry at No.1: Disco Inferno. It knocked The Main Stage off the top spot, drawing 30.6% of August's players to the dancefloor. July's headliner slips to No.2 on 29.1% of players, but it's not packing up the mic just yet.

Highest climber: the first-timers. New faces rose from 43.1% of players in July to 48.8% in August, the biggest jump on the chart. The regulars are still just about in the majority, but only just.

Fastest-rising single: Fire Joker. It pulled in 46% more players than in July to become the most-played slot across the whole site.

Non-movers, and proud of it. Evenings (17:00–22:00 GMT) are still bingo's busiest stretch. Four in five players are still women. And seven in ten bingo fans still had a wander over to the slots. Some classics never leave the chart.

One Last Spin of the August Record

So, what did August look like?

Disco Inferno lit up the rooms. Fridays edged out a remarkably even week. 8pm was the busiest hour, with daytime dabbers close behind. Four in five qualifying bingo players were women. And the crowd was split almost exactly down the middle between first-timers and regulars.

What a month.

Now, rewind that tape one last time and get it back on the shelf. September's already queued up!

What counts as a bingo player in Zingo Bingo Rewind?

Why does Zingo Bingo Rewind use monthly data instead of predicting trends?
